Recorder Lessons

Although learning to play the recorder can be used as a stepping stone to playing the flute, it doesn’t have to be!  When learned to play properly, the recorder has a beautiful sound. This instrument is transportable, affordable and there are so many beautiful renaissance and baroque pieces written for the recorder.  But the instrument is also very versatile - did you know that Bruce Springsteen, Jimi Hendrix, Paul McCartney, even the Rolling Stones featured the recorder in their songs?
